In Defense of Bill Gates

t is understandable that some people will look upon the Microsoft Corporation as a menace to civilization. They will "say" it is a menace but what they are really afraid of is its success. Mr. Gates success means the failure of others ... specifically ... those who's intentions are evil.

If you think for a moment that the goal of the Department of Justice is benevolent and involves only a sincere attempt to foster competition ... think again. You are seriously mistaken.

There is a wild thing loose in the world today. It threatens the very fabric of culture. If it is not stopped, everything will be changed.

It is your computer.

Those who wish to tame it are your "elected" officials. They must corral and ultimately destroy the computer industry if they are to survive as a species. They are cockroaches. They fear lighted places. The computer illuminates all. Everyone (eventually) will be able to see exactly what they are doing. And when people see their lying, cheating, stealing ... their crimes against life and reason ... their partnership with the dregs of humanity ... it will end. Your computer will put to rout what endless wars have never been able to do.

And they know it.

Then, who the hell is Bill Gates to command such special attention?

In the grand scheme of events, he is only one major player among many (past, present and future). What he is at the moment is the formally acknowledged (by social deference)

If he can be broken, they can in time break your computer, the Internet and finally ... your back. Then they can bend civilization to their will which they know is the only proper guide to living on Earth.

How did Mr. Gates get to be the #1 guy?

He possesses the following traits which no other major player in the industry can match:

  • He is not a fat slob.
    This may seem unimportant and to some it is. But to most it means ready, willing and able to take action.
  • He is an active player in his own company not a passive authority delegator/golfer.
  • He speaks directly, calmly, convincingly, confidently and has the forwardlooking optimism which inspires others.
  • Which brings us to - his loyal following ... principally, the highly motivated workers within Microsoft whom he talks to on a personal level as a fellow geek. He is not a surly guy looking for "the ones who are trying to cheat me ..."
  • And as anyone might observe from his few personal appearances ... he is normal.
The fact that he is the world's richest man only makes him an easier target. Most people will not feel sorry for him if he loses because he's always got lots of money. Hence, the court of public opinion may not defend him with any ferocity.

And he must be defeated.

Make no mistake about it. If he lives (as Microsoft) ... they die (as politicians). These are mortal enemies ... Production and Theft. No one who actively prosecutes Mr.Gates for the government will have any history of producing anything at all.

And you are what you produce.

Bill Gates has produced the core system in your computer ... they are in the process of producing _______ what?
